Individual Therapy
Step 1:
During the initial session, I will seek to understand what brings you to therapy and what you hope to accomplish in our work together. My priority is to develop our relationship, put you at ease, and establish trust.
Step 2:
We will then get to work on your goals, whatever they may be. I infuse relevant evidence-based skills and tools in each of our sessions. In addition to helping you achieve your goals, my priority remains to cultivate our relationship and create a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted as you are.
Couples Therapy
Step 1:
During the initial session, I will explore what brings you to therapy, as well as the current dynamics and history of your relationship. While doing so, I will focus on fostering our relationship.
Step 2:
Each of us has unique life experiences that shape who we are. These experiences and worldviews naturally influence the way we relate to others. To gain a deeper understanding of you as individuals, I will schedule a separate session with each of you.
Step 3:
Following the individual sessions, we will come back together and get to work. I am on your team throughout.
